Meet the artiste behind these incredible paintings after the cut
Oresegun Olumide signals significant milestone for African Art with his oil canvas paintings, which he has been creating for years. His paintings are so realistic that it could be deemed one of the best paintings ever created by an African, or even, competes with the Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci -- acclaimed as, "the best known", "the most visited", "the most written about", "the most sung about", "the most parodied work of art in the world". Oresegun's work done by hand but goes beyond paint and pencils; it threatens to top Mona Lisa's acclamation.
He is a 2006 graduate of the Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, Nigeria.
He graduated from the department of Fine Arts with a Distinction in Painting.
He loves to paint water around or on his characters.
Glistening, was indeed a rare debut for a young artist who has taken African creativity to another level.
